Twenty-five-year-old Breena, a beautiful and determined healer from Skye with a touch of Witchery, embarks on a dangerous and clandestine mission to find her father Ian MacRae.

On the Isle of Coll, she encounters the debonair Egan Dunbar, future clan chief of the Dunbars with a heart of gold, when Egan rescues her from a foul mouthed, abusive Campbell sentry at Castle Carragh.

Egan is on Coll to prevent a war and Breena is there to cause trouble. 

Egan finds himself enchanted by the bonnie healer, and even though he cannot trust her, he finds himself  drawn to her, honor bound to help her rescue the mysterious prisoner, at the risk of inciting all out war with the Campbells, something his sire ordered him to prevent. 

The sparks ensuing between Breena and Egan are stoked to a full firestorm. Will Egan be able to stop a clan war and save Breena? Will Breena be able to rescue Ian, at the risk of revealing her family's wretched past to Egan? And, if their vastly different social standing is pulling them apart, how will they escape the unseen forces that keep pushing them together?
